Swansea entertained Cwm Draig in the first round of the President’s Cup, and last year’s runners-up were given a 15-goal start over fellow Welshmen.
Cwm Draig got off to a fine start chasing down the handicap, and netted eight goals in the opening period to Swansea adding one to theirs, 16-8.
However, it was a different story in the second period where the visitors conceded four goals to their 1, to make it 20-9.
They got back slightly on track in the third period when they added a further four goals to Swansea’s 1, but it left them a lot of work to to in the large National Pool of Wales.
They looked like they might just achieve the victory having netted a further seven goals, but unfortunately they also conceded four to the home side to lose 25-20.
