City of Newport II were on the road to Winterbourne Academy Pool for their away fixture with South Glos Seniors and almost came away with the points had it not been for a late goal by the home side to win 13-11 which put the game out of reach. But it was a much better performance by the Welsh, coached by Michael Jones.

Jakob Newman was top scorer for the home team, with Chadwick and Forbes both getting hat-tricks.
Lewis Waite netted four goals for Newport and Luke Turner got a hat-trick.
