Barbarians v Harlequins

Barbarians had the upper hand in the first leg of the City of Bristol inter-club clash with last year’s Division 2 champions, Harlequins, played out in Hengrove Leisure Centre Pool.

Nick Hume and John Sissons once again showed their strength and class as they were able to control the game. Hume netted seven of Barbarians’ 23 goals, but Nathan Brown equalled this to show what an improving player he is becoming.

Brad Walker netted a hat-trick to be top scorer of Harlequins, with Gorka Papoff Sanz and Nick Bonthuys netting two each.

The return leg takes place on Thursday 8th February at Bristol South Pool, at 8.30pm.
